On Monday, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, inaugurated a state-of-the-art multipurpose indoor sports hall in the Khour area of Jammu and Kashmir. This inauguration marks a significant milestone in bolstering sports infrastructure in the border regions of the Union Territory.
Sharma emphasized the government’s commitment to providing modern and inclusive sports facilities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. During his address, he highlighted the special focus on rural and border areas aimed at fostering a vibrant sports culture.

The indoor sports hall accommodates three badminton courts, six table tennis courts, a volleyball court, two judo courts, and two wrestling and kabaddi courts. According to officials, this design enables simultaneous training for multiple sports disciplines.
During the event, Sharma interacted with local youth and sportspersons, encouraging them to maximize the use of this facility. He expressed optimism that this sports hall would foster significant engagement among young athletes in Khour.
