Poonch, September 14, 2025:
As part of its ongoing campaign against illegal mining, Poonch Police today seized two tractor trolleys loaded with illegally extracted minor minerals.
The operation was conducted by Police Station Poonch, during which both vehicles were detained for carrying unlawful mining material.
District Police Poonch is committed to act firmly against illegal mining, which causes ecological damage. The Mining Department has also been informed for further necessary legal action. The general public is advised to desist from such illegal activities, failing which strict legal action will follow.
It is pertinent to mention that Poonch Police has been regularly conducting special drives to check illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, and several such vehicles have been seized in recent weeks as part of this sustained campaign.
