Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati asserted that the recent rally commemorating the 19th death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram attracted a record-breaking audience, especially youth and women, causing rival parties to feel “sleepless and nervous.” The event took place on Friday, February 19, at the Kanshi Ram Memorial in Lucknow.
In a recent post on X, Mayawati emphasized the enthusiasm and commitment of attendees. The slogans echoing a pledge for the BSP to form a government in Uttar Pradesh for the fifth time demonstrate unwavering resolve from the party’s supporters.
“It is natural for opposition leaders to lose composure after witnessing such an overwhelming show of strength,” said Mayawati. She encouraged her supporters to disregard “meaningless remarks and statements” from rival parties.
Mayawati noted, “The people of the Bahujan Samaj have shown the entire country their commitment to fulfilling Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s dream of empowering the oppressed through their votes.” This sentiment resonates deeply with BSP’s ideology, which seeks to uplift marginalized communities.
With a focus on upcoming elections, she urged party workers to remain vigilant against what she described as “divisive and deceitful tactics” from political opponents. This vigilance is crucial as the BSP gears up for its ‘Mission 2027’, aimed at securing a majority in the next Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Mayawati expressed gratitude to party functionaries and workers from all 75 districts. She thanked them for successfully mobilizing lakhs of supporters to the rally, emphasizing their role in this mobilization as a key to reinforcing the BSP’s mission.
The BSP leader also extended appreciation to those who paid tribute to Kanshi Ram across India, stating their participation symbolized unity and strength in advancing the BSP’s cause. This collective effort showcases the party’s grassroots support in building a strong foundation for future political battles.
