Five Injured in Vehicles Collision Near Zojila Pass

At least five individuals sustained injuries after two vehicles collided near Zojila Pass on Monday. The accident occurred around midday, prompting immediate action from local authorities.

Officials stated that emergency responders quickly transported the injured to the Primary Health Centre in Sonamarg. From there, they referred the victims to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura for specialized medical attention.

The injured include Manzoor Hussain, son of Sadiq Ali Balti; Shabir Hussain, son of Hussain Ali Balti; Sadiqa Bano, wife of Manzoor Hussain Balti; Masrat Zara, daughter of Manzoor Hussain; and Fareeda Bano, daughter of Moad Hussain. All five victims are residents of Kargil.

Authorities have stated that the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with bystanders rushing to assist the injured.
