In an inspiring development for Jammu’s cricket scene, 19-year-old Aarav Mahajan has secured a spot in the 18-member Uttarakhand Ranji Trophy squad. This selection highlights Aarav’s remarkable consistency with the bat ahead of the new domestic season.
Aarav’s impressive performances in various age-group tournaments have caught the selectors’ attention. He has excelled in the Cooch Behar Trophy (U-19), Vinoo Mankad Trophy, and the CK Nayudu Trophy (U-23), amassing nearly 700 runs, including three centuries and three fifties at the U-19 level. Furthermore, his U-23 campaign featured a composed innings of 87 runs, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure.
In addition to his domestic success, Aarav has attended three National Cricket Academy (NCA) camps, including the latest at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Centre of Excellence. Last season, he ranked 17th among the top U-19 run-getters in India.
