Woman Drowns To Death in Mendhar

Mendhar, 06 July 2024: A tragic incident occurred on Friday evening in the Mendhar area of Poonch district, where a woman drowned in a stream.
According to local sources, a 30-year-old woman from the Kangra Galhuta area in Sub-Division Mendhar was crossing a river when she drowned.
Residents reported that rescue operations began immediately after the incident was reported, but the woman’s body was recovered shortly after.
The deceased has been identified as Roziya Kausar, wife of Sadaqat Hussain.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
