Ramban, September 23: In a shocking incident, two police officials were found lifeless in their vehicle at Ziarat Morh within the Sana region of Batote tehsil, Ramban district, on Tuesday evening.
According to statements from local authorities, residents discovered the officers unresponsive inside a Fiat Linea car, registered as JK-19/5299, at around 8:30 PM. Efforts quickly shifted to rushing them to District Hospital Ramban where, unfortunately, doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival.
The two deceased individuals were identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed (No. 408/Rbn), who hailed from Bhatti Ramban, and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob (No. 309/Rbn) from Jatgali Ramban. Both were serving at the District Police Lines in Ramban.
The authorities have retained the bodies at the hospital for necessary medico-legal procedures. The police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances and causes relating to this tragic occurrence.
An official remarked that further details about the precise reasons for their untimely deaths will unfold as the investigation progresses.
