SSP Poonch convene meeting with Ex-servicemen of District Poonch

November 20, 2024 : Today Shri Shafket Hussain-JKPS SSP Poonch held a meeting with the Ex-Servicemen of District Poonch at DPL Poonch in which around 150 Ex-servicemen from Army participated. At the outset, the SSP Poonch asked about the wellbeing of the ex-serviceman. The chair apprised the participants that District Police Poonch is committed towards wellbeing and welfare of the Ex-servicemen and their families and seek their cooperation as a helping hand to police. The SSP Poonch stressed upon the participants that the Ex-servicemen are assets to the society and they have an active role to play as a responsible citizen helping the Law enforcement agencies particularly Police in detection and prevention of crime.
The chair also appraised the participants about security scenario of the district and they were asked to keep surveillance over any suspicious movement in and around their habitation and timely inform police about any such movement. The participants were also asked to keep close liaison with the jurisdictional Police/SOG Units and disseminate intelligence particularly on militancy, narcotics, bovine and allied fronts. The participants assured the chair about all sorts of cooperation and the meeting ended with a cup of tea. Mr. Pankaj Soodan-JKPS Dy.SP Hqrs Poonch, Mr. Ahjaz Ahmad Dy.SP Ops. Poonch among other officers were also present during the meeting.
