Srinagar, April 27: Jammu and Kashmir residents are urged to brace for severe weather conditions over the next 48 hours.
Kashmiri Weather expert has issued a warning indicating heavy rainfall across most areas, with particular intensity expected between tomorrow morning and April 29th evening.
In addition to heavy rainfall, moderate to heavy snowfall is predicted for higher reaches, including Sonamarg, Gulmarg, and several mountain passes. Areas such as Razdan Pass, Zojila Pass, Sinthan Top, Sadhana Pass, Peer ki Gali, and Gurez Valley are likely to be significantly affected.
Meteorological Department has issued an advisory urging residents to exercise caution and take essential safety measures during the upcoming severe weather conditions.
According to forecasts, light to moderate rain or snowfall is expected in most areas, with thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds anticipated in a few locations.
MeT told me that isolated places may experience heavy rainfall until April 29th. From April 29th to 30th, the weather is forecast to be predominantly cloudy with light rain and thunder in scattered areas. Dry weather is expected from May 1st to May 5th.
