On 30 September, Sat Sharma, the J&K BJP President, voiced strong criticism against Congress, National Conference (NC), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for their opportunist politics that he claims have hindered development in Jammu & Kashmir and the nation. Speaking at the Namo Exhibition inaugurated at Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora, Sharma accused the INDI alliance for consistently betraying the people of J&K.
The event, organized under the ongoing Seva Parv in celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, witnessed the presence of other prominent leaders, including J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan, Secretary Arif Raja, and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan.
Sharma did not hold back in his address as he lambasted the INDI alliance parties, specifically naming Congress, NC, and PDP. He stated that these dynastic parties thrived on nepotism and corruption, prioritizing their self-interest over the developmental needs of Jammu & Kashmir. “Their actions have pushed our region into darkness, deprived our youth of opportunities, and shattered dreams,” he emphasized.
In a stark contrast to the alleged failures of the opposition, Sat Sharma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that his leadership has transformed the landscape of J&K and India through unprecedented development and transparency. According to Sharma, the Modi government has effectively dismantled the systems of corruption and favoritism that previously plagued the region. He highlighted various advancements from infrastructure expansion to social justice initiatives that reflect a vision of a ‘New India.’
“Since 2014, every citizen can visibly discern the difference between the hollow promises of the INDI alliance and the tangible results delivered by Modi Ji,” Sharma stated, reinforcing his support for the ruling government.
Adding to Sharma’s sentiments, Anwar Khan noted that the exhibition showcases milestones of Modi Ji’s life, illustrating his sacrifice and vision for the nation. “Unlike the INDI alliance which symbolizes corruption and betrayal, this exhibition highlights integrity and dedication,” said Khan.
Mudassir Farooq Jan echoed these sentiments by stating that Modi Ji’s leadership has granted a new global identity to both India and Jammu & Kashmir. He declared that the BJP intends to carry forth these achievements to the masses on a large scale.
