MENDHAR: – Apni Party Youth Wing Vice President, and Spokesperson of the Party, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan has demanded compensation to the farmers, and fruit growers in Mendhar who have suffered losses due to heavy rains, and hailstorm in the region.
As per a press release, Raqeeq, also Media Coordinator of the Party, said that the people have suffered badly due to the inclement weather condition, following the heavy rains and hailstorm that has destroyed the standing crops, vegetable and fruits in Mendhar’s different areas.
“With the damage to the crops, the farmers have been left helpless as the authorities have yet to take assessment of the damages suffered by the people in this hilly region,” he stated.
He further said that the authorities should constitute different teams of the revenue officials and take the ground report with the assistance of the former panchayat members, and nambardar of the respective villages.
“The people, the farmers, shall be provided adequate compensation for the losses they have suffered in the recent hailstorm, and heavy downpour,” he added.
He asked the authorities to ensure the people affected with the inclement weather shall be compensated properly. Meanwhile, he has also appealed to the authorities to ensure that the road connectivity remains unaffected and damaged roads shall be repaired as early as possible.
He demanded that some of the villages have complaints about the poor mobile connectivity, electricity and clean drinking water related concerns that also needs to be addressed.
