Srinagar, Aug 24 (RNA): Even as Congress is busy in finalising the list of candidates for the first phase, a disquiet in the NC Cadre is making it difficult for the party leadership to negotiate terms with its alliance partner on the disputed seats.
NC Party sources told RNA that things were not moving as they would have expected owing to intense dispute on some seats. They added that both parties think that they have a chance to win but any “misadventures” may spoil the chances for both the alliance partners ending up benefiting “Third Forces”.
A senior leader of the National Conference, wishing not to be named told RNA News that the benefits of the alliance should percolate down on the ground, but added, that doesn’t seem to be happening at least in the constituencies which are bone of contention between the two parties.
Meanwhile many leaders have suggested ” Friendly Contest” on the “disputed” seats. (RNA)
