Srinagar,Dec 20: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Wednesday said cognizance has been taken and law enforcement agencies have been actively pursuing the case involving a ‘scam’ of almost 59 crores.
Talking to reporters, Bidhuri said police and other law-enforcement agencies have taken strong cognizance of the issue and the matter is being pursued actively.
“Those who did ‘fraud’ with people won’t go unpunished”, Bidhuri said.
The Divisional Commissioner however had a word of advice to the people asking them to be prudent about such Ponzi schemes. “Today we all know online frauds and scams have taken a new shape and pace. Earlier people were visiting offices physically and there were fewer chances of deception but today you can be an easy victim of online fraud”, Bidhuri said adding “People should thoroughly verify details to whom they are going to deal with”.
“Those involved in the cam won’t go scot-free”, Bidhuri assured.
