POONCH: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary (IAS), the joint team of Mining department and police has led a major crackdown resulting in the seizure of vehicles.
The joint team, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M.Choudhary (IAS) carried out a series of targeted actions at various locations across the district.
As a result, the following vehicles used in illegal mining activities were seized, including, One dumper at Gundi ,one Dumps of RBM at chaktroo,One excavator at kalai three tractor at Khari and One vehicle at ajote,two vehicles at Mandi.
These vehicles were being used in the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minor minerals, causing severe damage to the environment and disrupting the ecological balance of the area.
In addition to this,a team of mining deptt have also checked e challan of the vehicles which have been carried Minor Minerals in the different part of the District and similar activity shall be continued in coming days.
DMO poonch, Javed Iqbal urges to the vehicles owners and Contractors to take Minearals from legal Mining Leases with valid -e – challan ,if any violation found on this part heavy penalty shall be imposed on the violators.
The administration urges the public to come forward with any information regarding such activities, assuring complete anonymity and necessary action against those involved in this type of Menace.
