The District Administration of Anantnag intensified its efforts against drug-related activities by demolishing 15 illegal structures during a major enforcement drive on Saturday. This operation took place in Waghama, Bijbehara, as part of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign aimed at dismantling narcotics networks in the region.
In a coordinated effort, revenue authorities, supported by the police department, took decisive action against illegal constructions. They demolished structures, including 15 shops, built unlawfully on both State and Kahcharai land designated under Khasra Nos. 2494 (min) and 2495 (min). These structures had links to individuals involved in violations of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
This operation marked a significant milestone in reclaiming encroached public property, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
